My wife has the habit of leaving the cordless phone off the charger, so naturally, once the old battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore, I needed a new one. This battery went into a uniden phone and it seems to be taking all of my wife's abuse in stride. Everytime I need the phone now and can find where it's hidden, there is ALWAYS enough juice left to make my calls. I am very happy with this purchase

I am still using this battery almost a year later; it works WAY better than the factory battery that came in my Uniden cordless phone.. It doesn't seem to get a "memory" even though I leave it on the stand and keep the charge maxed out. Many batteries in the past haven't faired as well in my experience!

I used to have to completely discharge the batteries on my other phones and switch batteries out so one could charge while the other one was in use. NO MORE! No more using diode lights to completely discharge the battery units anymore either!

The OEM battery (model BT-905) on my Uniden phone was rated at 600 mAh, but the label on this one says it is rated at 2000 mAh. So far, it charged up and hasn't run down in normal operation. The phone does spend most of its time in the cradle, but the original battery was down to about 15 minutes of talk time on a full charge. I expect this one to give me enough talk time to make my ears hurt, if necessary.

The battery is physically bigger than the OEM battery. Sliding the battery cover on is a challenge; even when on, it pops up a little on the side. I can live with it, but it could be a problem if you need to keep a tight battery comparment sealed.

My cordless phones were older and couldn't last long before they needed recharging again. I looked at getting new phones, but instead, I looked up the necessary battery size for the phones and got this replacement. Oh my! Did it make a difference! The two phones that have these new batteries last for a very long time! These batteries are rated at a much higher capacity than the stock batteries that came with the phones, so now the phones perform better than new. And it was a smoking deal!

I initially wasn't going to give this battery more than 4 stars. It seemed to work well, but as one reviewer noted the battery cover doesn't fit quite right because the battery is slightly over-sized. But this battery is the bomb! I've had it for 2 months now and boy does it hold a charge; I've left it off the charger for days at a time and it hasn't died once. Not that I use the phone much, but the other NiCad battery I reviewed

never, ever came close to the performance of this battery. And it's inexpensive to boot. I'm buying 2 more as back-up; it would be a sad day if the current battery dies and I couldn't find a replacement.

some have said that its hard to get this battery in their phone, but it fit mine just fine. its good to know that a nimh battery works just fine in a cordless phone. its hard to believe they still sell these phones with nicad batteries. Got this for a Uniden EXI 376 series phone that specs a BT-905 600mAH battery. This has proven to be a great replacement with the greater storage ability it can live off the base for weeks. No problem with the cover closing or anything else. Excellent value.

I've been using this same brand of cordless phone battery for years! I always get 3 yrs plus out of this battery. And you can't beat the price I bought it for here on Amazon.com any where else. Trust me, I've done my homework each time I've needed a replacement, and this is still by far the cheapest place to find this great battery!

Used in Uniden EXL 8945 cordless phone. Delivered promptly. Snipped 1/4" of the shrink wrap, then easily bent the wires for a good fit. No problems. Longest phone call so far 45 minutes. A bit skeptical when I ordered, but a real bargain.

For weeks before we moved, our batteries were dying. What a pain it was to keep switching handsets! My wife kept telling me it was a perfect time to buy new phones?

Try these economical batteries first, right?

We got them quickly, and besides a little work getting them plugged in securely and closed, they charged right up and now the phones work like they were new! In fact, I think they sound BETTER than they did new! So much louder now, as well!

Why spend money you don't have to? Not sure how long these will last, but we've had the original batteries about 6 or 7 years prior to needing those, but if they only last a couple of years they'd be worth the cost!

I ordered this battery for my uniden 2.4 ghz phone. The previous battery was 600 mhrs... and was beeping for recharging after about 10 minutes. I've charged this one once 9 days ago, used it extensively (I'm a talker) and it's still not beeped for charging. I'm impressed.

I WAS HESITANT TO REPLACE THE OEM NICADS WITH THESE NIMH BATTERIES. HOWEVER, THEY ARE SPECIFIED FOR MY UNIDEN PHONE MODEL SO I TOOK A CHANCE. (I WASN'T SURE THE CHARGERS WOULD WORK GOING FROM ONE TYPE BATTERY TO ANOTHER.) BUT APPARENTLY THE CHARGERS ARE COMPATIBLE. I'VE HAD THESE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND THEY SEEM TO CHARGE FINE.

Better than new... My wife works from home and was constantly chasing down a phone that would work just to have it die in the middle of a 10-minute conversation with her boss or co-workers. Now she can join in tele-conferences and 2-hour seminars on a single phone...she loves it...and me! I haven't actually let one run down completely to see how long it will last on a single charge. I plan to get a second set for my other phones. As with some other reviewers, I did have a little trouble getting the new battery pack to fit, but with a little convincing it worked just fine.

This battery came from Empire and is a 1300Mah (NOT 1500Mah) battery. The batteries fit our phone hand sets great with no problems. This is a significant upgrade from the stock 700Mah battery and at this price point is a no brainer of a choice.

I have waited three years to buy this battery because 1)can't find it in stores, 2)thought it is expensive like around $20 which was about the price I paid last time. I have no complaint about this product. It fits into my phone. I read other reviews which said that it may not fit completely into the phone and the lid may not cover completely. I was a little worried after I placed the order but it fit well.

I was happy to replace the NiCad battery (as originally supplied in my Uniden EZI-996) with NiMH instead, but was worried that the charger wasn't designed for NiMH chemistry. Happy to report it works fine; battery shows no signs of overheating (which is the concern when using a NiCad charger on NiMH batteries). Talk-time more than doubled with the higher capacity NiMH battery. However it will take longer for battery to reach initial full-charge, given the higher battery capacity and the trickle charger in the phone. Not sure if charger has a timer cutoff or not. If so, phone may need to be reseated in cradle to initiate a new cycle, to top-off battery (as it may not reach a full charge on a single timer-cycle). In practice, i don't worry about this, and the battery seems to charge just fine. But i tend to make short calls, and keep the phone in its charger when not in-use. YMMV. If you don't get full talk-time from the new battery, it may be your phone isn't charging the battery to full capacity, and timer-cycle cutoff could be the reason why.

Battery had no markings, so i used a felt pen to mark it with spec's for the next time i need a battery replacement. I've seen this kind of generic marking before (from a local electronics store), and perhaps this is what prompted one reviewer to think the battery was used? From all appearances, this is a new battery.

I was worried that some reviewers had indicated it did not fit their BT-905 compatible phones. The battery fit fine in my Uniden EZI-996 phone. However i did notice the shrink-wrap wrapped the cable a little bit around the corner of the battery, unlike my original NiCad BT-905 battery, creating a different exit angle for the cable. That could affect the fit inside the battery compartment. In my case, it didn't cause the cover to bulge; had it, i was prepared to cut the green shrink-wrap back a bit so the cable could exit like it did from the old battery pack. [FWIW: The cells themselves didn't appear any larger (e.g. diameter) than the NiCads in the original battery, but i didn't use a micrometer to verify this (as the battery fit my phone just fine). Strictly a visual impression.]

I am happy with this battery. Have been using it for about six weeks now. Only gave it four stars because of the total lack of markings, and cable egress issue. It should have (at a minimum) battery chemistry and capacity marked on it. This will aid in future battery replacements, and chemistry markings may be helpful to recyclers. (It's possible this info is on the cells themselves, hidden under the shrink-wrap.)

I purchased two of these to replace the batteries in my dual handset Uniden phone (Battery - BT-905)

The battery sent is a sanyo battery and is just that little bit too big for the phone, it is now in there really tight, which makes the battery cover bulge out a bit on the side.

This battery did not work in my Uniden EXAI 4248 cordless phone, which takes a BT 905 battery. (And, yes, I reset the security code, charged it for well over 24 hours, etc.)

My Uniden phone says to use only a BT-905 battery. When the original battery died, I replaced it with a Radio Shack battery which worked fine. Now that it's on its last legs, I decided to try this product instead of giving Radio Shack another $14. This battery failed to take any charge overnight, so I'm going back to Radio Shack! It's not worth returning since the shipping was more than the cost of the battery, so I thought I'd at least leave a bad review...

The battery sent was a GE TL26560. This Amazon link GE Cordless Phone Battery for Panasonic Phones (TL26560) indicates that the TL26560 may be compatible with Panasonic and Sony, but doesn't mention Uniden (there are no phone brands mentioned on the actual battery). That link also says the battery is discontinued, so this product may just be a catchall for selling off overstock and discontinued batteries, since I've seen other brands mentioned in the reviews.
