I was looking for a combination of alarm clock and cordless phone and was surprised to see one that was made by Oregon Scientific. When I looked at the price that other online stores were offering this model at and then saw amazons selling price I did not hesitate to purchase it through amazon. The phone has clean reception and the alarm clock is easy to operate with a not so overpowering alarm. The weather station is a bonus. Not difficult to program with easy step by step instructions in the manual. The only drawback is that this phone is in my bedroom on my nightstand that is slightly above my head so I have to raise up to see the display. Otherwise it shows a blank display when I do not raise up. If a person chooses to have this in his or her bedroom and if your nightstand is low then you will not have this problem. Otherwise I would have given this product a 5 star rating. Overall this product is just what I was looking for.

I was looking for an phone alarm clock that did not have an answering machine with it, as the rest of my home phones are associated with an answering machine. I read the reviews on this phone, and decided to order it. Pros- I took up half the space of the phone/clock I replaced. The clock has a light button that you push when you want to know what time it is, rather than a steady light on all night long. The light is blue for a subtle rather than "in your face" white light. It has a remote thermo-hygro sensor that goes outside, that measures temps and humidity outside. It has two setable alarms. The screen is about 4 inches, so easy to read when you are looking directly at it. The handset is an average size for cordless phones. And the base can handle 4 phones. It has intercom capabilites. Con- The screen sits at a slight angle, so hard to see if it is above your head (on the headboard). I think a night stand would be a better placement for it. Hence the 4 stars. I like it, glad to have it, and the price was great for the product you get.
4.) What digital clock doesn't have a light !?

Overall we are happy with this phone. It has a nice loud speaker phone and the normal sound quality is good too. The biggest problem we have is that the light behind the clock isn't always lit. The only time it is is when you press the buttons. So, when you wake up and it's dark, you have no idea what time it is. The weather display is fun to have and it keeps the correct temp. in and out of the house. Another "fun" feature are the ring tones. It's kind of nice to have music play instead of the normal annoying ring. The dual alarm is a must if there are two of you. Or, if you have a different daily schedule. We just put a seperate digital clock across the room so we know what time it is during the night.

The phone had a static that made it unusable. Also the clock in the dark was unable to read. When the snooze depressed the light came on as a back ground light and made the time unable to read.
The unit was returned for these reasons.

The Oregon Scientific phone works great, once you go to Radio Shack and replace the batteries- the ones that come with the handset don't charge and don't work! So, the phone ended up costing me an extra $15 to make it work. I haven't contacted the manufacturer yet, and I'm sure all they'll offer me is a new battery instead of the $15. Beware.
8.) it works but................

I liked the idea that it has the phone and alarm clock, The bonus is the weather station. The phone works well and the alarm isn't too annoying but the alarm for the humity(on coming rain) will go off in the middle of the night. That is not the best. The other thing is that you can not see the time at night unless you touch the snooze bar.
9.) Not this one...

At the time that I bought the Oregon Scientific WW338, I was looking for an alarm clock. When I found this one I thought, wow an alarm clock, cordless phone, AND weather station. And on top of all that, I was impressed that it was an Oregon Scientific! Well, unfortunately I'm disappointed with all four details of this product.
First, the very small alarm clock doesn't light up unless you hit the button on the top (if you can find it in the middle of the night). When I do want the light, it's a dim blue which makes it hard to see the numbers. This was a major disappointment for me because when I wake up, I like to roll over and look at what time it is. Also, as I said it is a Very Small alarm clock so it's hard to see from any distance. As far as setting alarms, I even wrote out the directions on a sticky note and I keep it on this product at all times!
Second, the cordless phone is too short and uncomfortable. When I use the handset, I wonder if I should have the small speaker next to my ear or the other speaker next to my mouth because I can't have both due to the shortness of the handset. Also, I find myself shifting the handset around my ear to hear conversations. I do not call out from this handset because some of the numbers don't read when I touch the keypad and so the call doesn't go through.
Third, the weather station isn't accurate a lot of the times. And for some reason, it "goes down" at times so the entire system needs to be reset. When this happens, have the manual handy!
Fourth, this Oregon Scientific product is now made in China and you can tell as soon as you take it out of the box. This was a major disappointment for me as well!
If you decide to purchase this product, my recommendation is to keep the manual next to it.
10.) Confusing instruction manual; phone still does not work

I, unfortunately, purchased this as a gift. It has lead to nothing but headaches. There are two major problems with this product: The manual is horribly written and the phone DOES NOT WORK.
The Manual: The manual is so poorly written that it seems like Oregon Scientific intentionally made it as useless as possible. Normally a poorly written manual would be no problem because you could ignore it and figure out how to use the product through trial and error; however, here, this product is not the least bit intuitive. It is apparent that no thought went into the user interface.
The Phone: It doesn't work. Period. Despite plugging in the batter and charging the phone the requisite 15 hours, it still doesn't work.
Bottom line: Avoid this item at all costs.

This is a great concept, but the temperature reading are way off and the weather forecasting doesnt seem to work at all. It says it is supposed to rain, but the weather forecast is for sun all week.

Have had this phone for several years and found it quite difficult to set. Our electricity goes off frequently, when it does the temperature goes to Celsius, the alarm starts going off, very difficult to figure how to permanently stop this. Also more complicated then it should be to set the time. Now the LCD display is unreadable, I had the battery checked and found it to be good so don't know what is wrong, nothing in the instruction manual address this problem. It has good features if they only worked better it would be a good phone.
